What is StartYourDiet.com?

StartYourDiet.com is an online software program that will assist you with your diet. The core of the program is our interactive tools to help you plan and track your weight, meals and exercises. The program then produces charts and graphs that give you valuable insight into the effective and ineffective portions of your diet. In addition, you can start a diet blog, communicate with other dieters using our exclusive message board and find a diet buddy using our buddy finder tool.

What are the requirements for using the program? Is it compatible with my Apple Mac?

Since our software is internet based, it only requires is a computer with an internet connection and a newer version of any major internet browser. You may also need Flash & Java installed on your machine (most likely, they are already installed) but they are free downloads. This software is tested on the latest versions of AOL, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Firefox, Netscape & Opera.

Can I access my account at work?

Yes! You may access your diet information from any computer with an internet connection. Home, work, vacations.. wherever there is an internet connection your diet information is available.

If I become a member, will I receive spam email?

Absolutely not. We've been on the web for over 7 years and we've never sent one spam email message (and never will). We do not share or rent your information. There are no pop-up ads (no ads of any kind within the program) and we never employ unethical methods such as spyware or adware.

Billing Questions

How much is a membership?

We offer a free membership that allows you to plan & track your weight and chart your progress. For only $29.95, deluxe members can also plan & track daily meals & exercises, access additional charts and use the communication tools, such as the diet blogger, buddy finder, message board & more.

Once I become a member, is there anything more to buy?

No, the $29.95 membership fee gives you complete access to the program for one full year. There are no special foods to buy and no advertisements within the program. You may add a year at any time, but your membership will not automatically renew.

I want to join, but I'm concerned about putting my credit card information on the net.

We use payment providers Authorize.net, PayPal & 2checkout.com. They invest millions of dollars in security features and all credit card transactions are handled over their secure networks. In fact, we never even see your credit card information. We let them handle the secure payments and we worry about delivering a high-quality diet program. In five plus years of working with these companies, we have had no security issues and their service has been top-notch.

Where does my membership money go?

This is a business, so we do hope to turn a profit. However, the majority of money received goes right back into the program for programming improvements and additions. Some will go towards advertising and we make a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital every month.

How do I cancel my membership?

There is no reason to cancel your membership, you are not automatically re-billed. After your paid membership period is over, your account is converted to a free membership and all free accounts are deleted after 30 days of inactivity. Due to the nature of this product (digital software), memberships are not refundable once purchased.
