Great one; so simple, yet so profound! I have experienced critical types as choosing that behavior because of deep unresolved pain or insecurities. I am not at all always successful at this because I am very sensitive, but when I am criticized or undermined (and sadly it happens often,) I try to focus on their pain vs. my hurt feelings.
